Welcome to my blog! I have a wide variety of interests and experiences that I look forward to sharing. I’ll start out by sharing a little background on myself. I am a vegetarian city gal married to a small town country guy turned techie for the past 9 years. We live in a rural suburb of Lansing, Michigan on a little over an acre. While I have learned how to maneuver a pick-up truck and be nice to the tractors on the road, I still mutter at hillbilly trucks while driving my hillbilly truck. Baby steps, baby steps…
In this blog, you’ll be reading about my search for a new position in the data management field, after being one of the 2008 corporate layoff causalities. You’ll also be reading about my experiences as a computer science student, on the road to becoming a Database Administrator. On the personal side, I will be discussing my passions for organic gardening, birding, and cooking. In addition, I’ll be offering my commentary on a variety of subjects.
