Well, if you want to be successful in life then all it takes to have ONE thing and that is – YOUR ATTITUDE. It’s your ATTITUDE that defines your altitude and this is the only thing that is within your CONTROL.
This has been explained very well by Jeff Keller in this book who is also a founder and president of Attitude is Everything Inc. He has been delivering presentations on attitude and motivation for more than 20 years.
The book shows how Jeff made a transition from a lawyer to a motivational speaker via the principles illustrated in the book and also shows how you can make positive changes in your life.
This book consists of 12 lessons or chapters where the author has divided each of the lessons into three sections, which include:
THINK
This section consists of 5 lessons where Jeff explains that your success embarks its journey in the mind. It’s all about how and what you think that matters the most. “Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as success”, Dr Joyce Brothers. He explains that there are some people who see that glass is half full while some see that glass is half empty. It is all about differentiating between “I CAN” versus “I CAN’T”. He also explains the fact that life is all about cleaning your ATTITUDE window because as long as your window is splattered with mud of negativity, you cannot think positively.
SPEAK
This is the second section that consists of three lessons where Jeff explains how you should watch your words while speaking because how you speak can push you towards your goals. As Rudyard Kipling once said, “Words are the most powerful drug used by the mankind. Jeff explains that we must never underestimate the power of words. As start to think negatively, you use words to support the thoughts and then it converts into your beliefs. He also explains that the people who constantly feed themselves with negative words, they are destined to have negative attitude.
ACT
Last but not the least is the section called “ACT” where Jeff explains that GOD helps those people who act so do not sit back and wait for something to happen. This section consists of 4 lessons where he tells that you need to take active steps if you want to turn your dreams into reality. He also explains that you need surround yourself with people who have positive mindset because you stay with positive people, you will automatically start to feel better and think and speak positively. In today’s environment, we have people who fall under two categories: toxic and Nourishing. You should always stay with nourishing people as they are positive and supportive, and they lift your spirits and it’s a joy to be around them. Psychologist Jay Canfield refers to toxic people as “energy vampires” who suck all the positive energy out of you.
